Happy Mother's Day!

Dear Mother,

Words cannot express the gratitude for all that you do but I will try. Thank you for raising me to be a strong independent woman. Thank you for teaching me by example. I never fully understood the love a mother has for their child until I had my own baby. Now I am a mother, and I now know exactly how you felt. The love that a mother has for her child is the most powerful, protective, caring, emotional, self sacrificing love that has ever existed. Looking back I know that all those times you were tough on me it was only because you were trying to mold me into the person I am proud to be today. You are the glue that holds our family together. I admire all the things you did when we were children. You made us feel safe and secure and you were always strong for us. You taught us the importance of education by going back to school and getting your nursing degree. Thank you for letting us believe that we could be whoever we wanted to be. You are always there to listen and lend helpful advice. Thank you for teaching us how to love and respect each other. Your daughters are best friends and you are responsible for that. I hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day. You deserve so much more than one day, when you have given every day of your life for the past 25 years to me. I hope you know how much you are loved and appreciated. Thank you for being the best mother and now the best grandmother to my child.
