Sorry it has taken me forever to post. I have been crazy busy with school. I just changed rotations and now I am at Lewisville Medical Center. It is nice but I miss Plano Presby. On friday I went out with Carol, a sonographer from Presby, it was nice to catch up! Everything is going well. I am managing A's on all the tests and projects so far. Only 12 more months to go!! YAY... that seems like forever though. We went to Beaver's Bend a few weekends ago with the whole family. my mom took a lot of pictures. Here are some of them:

Stop and remember...

"Terrorist attacks can shake the foundations
of our biggest buildings, but they cannot
touch the foundation of America.
These acts shatter steel, but they cannot dent
the steel of American resolve.
America was targeted for attack because
we are the brightest beacon for freedom
and opportunity in the world.
And no one will keep that light from shining."

Christina's Party

On Saturday, we went to Christina and Jason's housewarming party. I had a blast seeing all my friends from the NICU that I miss. Their house was adorable. Here are some pictures:

Back at School

Well I am back at school and we have learned a lot! We had a family night at school tonight. It was fun to meet the families of my fellow students. There were only three people missing so that is pretty good. I am so excited that I am finally here - it still seams surreal!

Bonnie and I at family night!

DeAnna was brave enough to let me scan her:

My last free week!

Well, it is my last week off before I start back to school. Those 3 weeks went by fast!! We have been keeping ourselves busy though. Our neighbors have been letting us swim in their pool. We are so lucky we have awesome neighbors. They call us "kids" though. Shannon has been fixing up my bike so it is safe to ride. We put new brake cables and gear shift cables in. This was a challenege b/c they weren't fully intact before so we had to guess how they worked. He also installed a water bottle holder for me, got the dents out of my fenders, and dremeled out a large portion of the rust. It is so cute and shiny now! I feel very retro riding it around the neighborhood.

We also went to see Little Miss Sunshine with DeAnna and John. It was so cute and I laughed hystrically through the whole thing. I definately reccomend it!!

I also FINALLY got frames filled with pictures up in my hallway. DeAnna gave me the frames for Christmas and they have been sitting in our office ever since. Here is a picture of it:

I love my mac!!

Well I finally made the switch to macintosh and now I am hooked!! Here is a picture of my new macbook.

Here are a few pictures I took with my little camera on the computer:

I'm free!!

Well, I finished my Advanced Acoustical Physics class!! YAY. I got a 96! It was so hard that I haven't had much of a life lately. I now have a break for 3 weeks. Of course our director gave us a million assignments to do during the break! oh well. atleast there won't be any tests for awhile! Shannon and I have been working hard. Our garage is full of stuff and we really want to get it organized. We installed attic stairs (really I should say HE installed attic stairs - but I supplied the water). Today we put in flooring and I did help with that. I was crawling around the attic with a pneumatic nail gun... scary! I can't wait to get everything organized and Shannon can't wait to get my massive amount of Christmas stuff up there. We have also been riding bikes every night. I hated my bike so I got a new one off e-bay. It is a vintage Schwinn bike. We are going to fix it up.

Here is a picture of what it looks like now:

Isn't it cute! It will look much better once we fix it up. I think I need a basket and a little bell and I will be complete! haha.

So much to blog... so little time!

Hello everyone! Sorry I have been on sabbatical from blogging. Life has been crazy! I started my SONO program and it is hectic! I really like it so far and I think it will be perfect for me. I have only been working one day a week so that has been nice but I miss socializing with all my friends at the NICU.
Shannon hurt his knee at drill for the Marines and tore his lateral and medial meniscus. He also managed to get his knee cap and patella out of line. He had surgery a few weeks ago and now he is going to physical therapy. He just got off his crutches this week and he is very happy about that! He should be back to normal in about 6 weeks. I think I have been a very good nurse though =)
My life this summer has consisted of studying, watching lectures online, more studying.... and of course, the occasional movie =). Last weekend I went to see Mamma Mia with Katherine, Leslie, and Nicole. We had a lot of fun. It was so cute and it was hard for me not to sing along to all of the classic ABBA songs!
Well we are going to visit Shannon's parents for a few days and then we will be partying with work friends on Saturday night (YAY for margarita machines!) We will take some pictures...

Orientation

I had my first orientation for the Sonography program yesterday. It was a lot of fun. The other students seem really nice and I think we will all get along well for the next 18 months. Here are some pictures of the students and the teachers at lunch at Chipotle.

Never a dull moment...

Whenever Maggie, our labradoodle, is thirsty and wants water she hits her water bowl. Lately she has started picking her ceramic water bowl up and dropping it when she wants water. She is a water-a-holic. Well last night we heard glass breaking and then we saw a chocolate blur run by. When we went into the kitchen we discovered the source of the noise. It turns out that ceramic bowls and ceramic tiles don't mix. Here is Maggie with her mess.

Poor thing...
