Our House Warming Party
Sorry it has been sooo long since I posted. We have been very busy. Here are some pictures from our housewarming party we had a few weekends ago. We had a lot of family and friends over to celebrate. Shannon's friend, Moose, let us borrow a Margarita machine for the party and we put that thing to good use. I think I drank atleast half of it myself! ha! As you can see in the pictures I had a gooood time!

Pictures of our new house...
Hi everyone! Here are some pictures of our new house now that we are moved in. Shannon and I had all week off and we did a lot of work!
Picture of the front
Another picture of the front... our realtor gave us that bench. Thanks Betty!

Living room

Living room from another angle. I love the wrap around fireplace.

Kitchen

Breakfast Nook w/ window seat

Formal Dining Room ( we are using it as a little sitting room.) That is our fish tank on the right. Shannon and I built the aquarium stand ourselves.

Another angle of living room.
Patio... still a work in progress. We want to build a permanent patio cover but that will be a little ways down the road.

Look I can mow!! If I do this all the time maybe I will get some muscles. And yes, that is a shirt from the 8th grade. I was just impressed that it still fits. Of course it was huge on me back then.
Well, i will post more pictures of the bedrooms soon when I get them unpacked.

Take Me Out to the Ball Game....
Hello everyone! On Saturday, I took Shannon to go see the Rangers. It was a nice break from packing! We lost 7-0 so that sucked but there was a 30 minute fireworks show afterwards that was really cool. We had a great time spending time together and eating everything they have to offer! haha. Here are some pictures:

I got in! I got in!!
Hi everyone! I just wanted to let you all know that
I was accepted into the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program at El Centro! They only accepted 10 students so I am really lucky. I start in the summer and I will be done in 18 months. Thanks for all of the encouragement. I couldn't have made it without my family and all of my friends at the NICU cheering me on.

Hello everyone! Not too much going on here. I was sitting around the house today and took a picture of Maggie and I now that she got her hair shaved.... haha...she is kind of wierd looking now but she likes it! She has junk on her nose from her rawhide. God bless the person that invented those! Last night we watched In Her Shoes and we were able to watch the whole thing without stopping because she was occupied with her bone! Heaven!
Here is a picture of her before:
She was ALWAYS panting with the long hair and it drove me crazy!

It
was so nice to have a relaxing weekend!! First I finished my book Son of a Witch (the sequel to Wicked). It was really good and not as complicated as Wicked... I only had to pull out the dictionary a few times! I can't wait to read his other books now. I need to go back and watch the Wizard of Oz now because I haven't seen it since I was little. It scared me when I was a kid so it wasn't my favorite movie! haha.
Then on Friday night, Shannon was tired from working, so I went out w
ith DeAnna. We decided to see Brokeback Mountain because we wanted to see it before the Oscars. The acting was very good and I got to see a lot of my boyfriend Jake... j/k Shannon! The movie was pretty slow and by the time they started making out I was relieved because something was finally happening! Seriously though...not that great. I liked the music and the scenery though.
On Saturday, we took Maggie to the groomers to get her hair shaved because she has been so hot. I made the mistake of telling them I wanted it all the same length from nose to tail. When we went to pick her up we barely recognized her except for the fact that she was jumping over the counter looking for us. Wow.... she is a little naked now. I think she likes it though. No hair is not a good look for her. haha.. oh well it will grow back right??? Lets hope so!
On Sun
day Shannon and I were desperate to see a movie at the Studio Movie Grill so we decided to see Date Movie. Ok, I knew it was going to be stupid but the guide gave it a B so I thought it couldn't be too bad. Boy was I wrong! The only people that would like this movie is 12 year old boys. Shannon and I actually left after we finished eating. I have never left a movie before but it was such a waste of time. Definately the biggest waste of $15. Oh well.. live and learn.
We came home and watched our favorite show Flip This House. It is
the best show on Earth.. it comes on A &E. That will be Shannon and I in about 20 years.

Sorry it took me so long to post. The last few weeks have been very busy! We have been house hunting and I have been working extra shifts to have some extra money for our house. Crazy! I just found out today that I have an interview for the SONO and ECHO programs on Saturday, Feb 25th. They interview 25 students and then pick the top 10 for the programs. It is really competitive. My letter said the interview cut off was 4.0 on the 5 desginated courses and a 3.87 on the remaining courses. That is crazy! I thought I was going to be way ahead by having a 4.0 in both but I guess not! I am really nervous now! After the interview I will find out if I got in by April 1st.
Shannon is doing well! He isn't too upset about being 30 now eventhough i keep harassing him... haha. He bought a chain saw today so he could cut up a fallen tree for firewood. He is always doing crazy stuff like that.. I am glad I have a handy man. He looked pretty cute out there chopping wood and he filled up our wood rack. I got to have a nice roaring fire so I was happy.
Maggie is 10 months old now and weighs 74 pounds!! She is a giant. Eventhough she is huge she still acts like a big baby and crawls into my lap anytime I am sitting on the floor. It is quite a sight to see... her big rump doesn't quite fit in my lap.
Here is a cute picture of me and my sister!!
